Earth to Action
Healthy Communities for a Healthy Planet
Earth to Action (E2A) is a department of Family Medicine project that supports community-based physicians, healthcare providers, and clinics in addressing climate-related health risks and reducing the environmental impact of healthcare.
Through practical, evidence-based educational campaigns, visual resources, and implementation tools, E2A helps clinical teams integrate sustainable, climate-informed practices into everyday patient care while maintaining high-quality care delivery.
We provide ready-to-use tools and resources to help healthcare providers:
- Make climate-informed clinical decisions
- Counsel patients on risks such as extreme heat and wildfire smoke
- Explore lower-impact care approaches including sustainable prescribing
- Implement practical and effective changes within clinic workflows
E2A will help you take meaningful action: improving patient care today while building a more climate-resilient healthcare system.
Participation in eligible E2A activities may also provide opportunities to earn Mainpro+ certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

We are a trusted source for health-care education in a country where Canadians are aware of the impacts of climate change on health and empowered to improve both their health and the environment’s health.
Our Campaigns
The project consists of a series of seven campaigns, including several focused on Planetary Health Foundations, while the remaining campaigns address clinical care, clinic operations, and preparedness.
